Four layers, every story
You shouldn't have to preview every story before your child hears it. StoryWell applies four independent safety layers in sequence, every time a story generates. No layer can be disabled, bypassed, or overridden — so you can hand over the iPad and walk away.
Universal absolute rules
A hard-coded set of content rules that apply regardless of reading level, story length, theme, or any parent or child input. No user input can override these rules.
Age-calibrated peril rules
Each reading level adds its own calibrated constraint. Early Readers (3-5): zero peril. Beginner (6-7): mild peril resolved quickly. Developing (8-9) and Independent (10-12): emotional tension that always resolves positively.
Silent redirection
If a setup would lead somewhere unsuitable, StoryWell doesn't refuse — it silently transforms the element into something joyful and safe.
Output review before display
Every story segment passes through a content moderation check before it appears on screen. Failed segments are discarded and regenerated automatically.
